Red Wagon rides

WOW, how times have changed...on Saturday we brought out Will's Radio Flyer (http://www.radioflyer.com/) wagon for the first time. When we were little the wagons were metal with an edge of only 4 inches or so. Today the wagons (for children to travel in) are plastic and HUGE! Our first visit was to our neighbors to see Jacob. The boys had a good time together in the wagon exchanging toys (mainly a plastic water bottle). We then went for walk and stopped by the Shoening's to show off our wagon. Marisa, Eric and Bailey joined up for a walk. It was different pulling a wagon rather than pushing a stroller, but it seemed like Will and Eric really enjoyed the wagon / walk. I am sure that these rides were the first of many in the wagon...Thank you Aunt Caroline & Grandma (a great shower gift)!!!

First time in the wagon...checking it out!!!
It passed my test, I'm ready to go!
Jacob & Will hanging out in the wagon
There is obviously something very interesting down there...
On a short little stroll around the driveway
Eric & Will at the end of the walk - still smiling, it must have been fun!

Now you just have to convince Duke he'd like to help pull a wagon, huh? ;-P

Welcoming William

On Saturday, Mach 1, 2008 William entered the world. Will was born at Riverside Hospital at 5:25pm. He weighed 7lbs. 14oz. and was 21 inches long. During the month of February, Mimi was scheduled to be induced at least one time due to pregnancy induced high blood pressure. We both wanted Will to be born naturally and luckily our visit to the doctor on February 28 proved that we could go up to his due date of March 5 without being induced. On Friday, February 29, Michael Bailey, a college friend of Michael's, and his sister, Laura, came to visit. That night we went to bed later than usual and woke up at 5am realizingt it was time to head to the hospital. By 3:10 that afternoon Mimi was starting to push and by 5:25 Will was born; a happy and healthy baby! The nurses and doctor were wonderful during our 12 hours in the labor and delivery room; checking on both Mom & Dad to make sure we were both okay.Visiting family members and friends made the hospital stay easier!
