What a day...

Earlier this month William discovered the fireplace. We have never used the fireplace nor have we opened it's doors. William has discovered that the vent on the fireplace doors makes a wonderful sound. This is not something that we encourage (not a very safe place to play), but it was a great opportunity for a picture!

William, or maybe Duke, has learned that if Duke stands near the high chair (and William is in the mood) Duke lucks out and receives a few puffs...sometimes Duke waits and waits, and receives nothing, but most of the time William will drop (or hand feed Duke) something.

At the end of BIG LEARNING day, Will enjoyed a relaxing bath. After his bath, Michael had a great time seeing how LONG Will's hair is. Against my better judgement, I am taking Will with me tomorrow evening for a hair trim. I wanted to wait until he was 1 year old, but as the picture shows, I just don't think we can wait any longer!!!
"what have I found..."
"you caught me, Daddy"
Feeding Duke...(he looks a little guilty, I think)
just waiting to see if he will give me more????

It is time for a hair trim (not cut)!!!

Welcoming William

On Saturday, Mach 1, 2008 William entered the world. Will was born at Riverside Hospital at 5:25pm. He weighed 7lbs. 14oz. and was 21 inches long. During the month of February, Mimi was scheduled to be induced at least one time due to pregnancy induced high blood pressure. We both wanted Will to be born naturally and luckily our visit to the doctor on February 28 proved that we could go up to his due date of March 5 without being induced. On Friday, February 29, Michael Bailey, a college friend of Michael's, and his sister, Laura, came to visit. That night we went to bed later than usual and woke up at 5am realizingt it was time to head to the hospital. By 3:10 that afternoon Mimi was starting to push and by 5:25 Will was born; a happy and healthy baby! The nurses and doctor were wonderful during our 12 hours in the labor and delivery room; checking on both Mom & Dad to make sure we were both okay.Visiting family members and friends made the hospital stay easier!
